Will Smashbur-ger rule the Earth?

IMG_0468[1]With locations in the U.S., Canada, Central America, and Saudi Arabia, and Gulf States Kuwait and Bahrain, it seems Smashburger is going big.
It joins other Denver-based burger chains like Red Robin and Larkburger ( yeah, I get it now) in the quest for better-than-fast-food burger hegemony.
Burger King and McDonald’s seem to be rather pedestrian any more. At the Colfax Ave.and Speer Boulevard BK location last week I felt I was a character in a Stanley Kubrick movie. Very alone in a very strange place. The well-dressed African-American gentleman across the way at BK was talking about Judge Judy and quoting the Bible calmly, to anyone who would listen.
That’s not the vibe I get at Smashburger. I guess it’s still too cool for street people to chill out there.
